Ramagem arrested by ICE
Former Brazilian intelligence chief Alexandre Ramagem has been detained by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Florida.
Ramagem had fled Brazil in September following a 16-year prison sentence for his role in a coup plot involving former President Jair Bolsonaro.
Brazilian senators are reportedly seeking political asylum for the fugitive, while US authorities process his detention.
The arrest concludes a six-month international manhunt for the former congressman and police officer.
