Sudan war enters fourth year

The anniversary of the fighting between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces was marked by a high-level conference in Berlin.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has urged an end to the flow of weapons, warning that the nation's infrastructure has functionally collapsed.

Despite the massive funding pledges, aid groups warn that the ongoing conflict in the Middle East has overshadowed Sudan's plight, leaving it as an 'abandoned crisis.' Human rights investigators continue to document widespread sexual violence and massacres across the country.
