Lululemon 'forever chemicals' probe

Lululemon 'forever chemicals' probe

The investigation into Lululemon's product safety will examine whether the company's popular yoga pants and other apparel contain toxic per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances.

Attorney General Paxton's office is looking into potential violations of consumer protection laws, citing concerns about the long-term health effects of the chemicals.

Lululemon maintains that it has been proactive in its environmental and safety standards, having completed the phase-out of PFAS in 2023.

The probe comes as regulatory scrutiny of the apparel industry's use of synthetic materials intensifies across the United States.
