Artemis II astronauts bound for Moon

The four-person crew, consisting of three Americans and one Canadian, is now on a ten-day trajectory that will take them around the far side of the Moon.

Despite minor early issues with the spacecraft’s toilet and email systems, mission control has confirmed that all systems are now functioning optimally.

The crew shared breathtaking views of Earth and messages of hope via video link as they accelerated to 25,000 mph.

This test flight is a foundational step for the Artemis program's goal of establishing a long-term human presence on the lunar surface.
