King Charles marks Queen Elizabeth's centenary

The centenary of Queen Elizabeth II's birth is being marked across the United Kingdom with the unveiling of a final masterplan for a national memorial in London.

The tribute will feature a bronze statue of the late monarch as a young woman in her Garter robes, to be situated in St James's Park.

Charles reflected on his mother's 70-year reign, describing her as a constant source of inspiration through a near-century of remarkable change.

Other members of the Royal Family and the public have shared their own memories to honor the legacy of the nation's longest-serving sovereign.
