US Navy Seizes Iranian Vessel

Tensions in the Middle East reached a new peak after the guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance fired upon and disabled the Iranian cargo ship Touska.

The vessel reportedly ignored repeated warnings to stop while attempting to evade the ongoing US naval blockade.

US Marines have taken full custody of the ship, which Washington claims has a history of illegal activity.

Tehran has condemned the incident as "armed maritime piracy" and vowed a swift military retaliation.
