Nepal floods kill 165+, 1,500 missing

A glacial lake outburst triggered catastrophic flash floods along the Nepal-Tibet border, killing at least 165 people and leaving nearly 1,500 missing.

Rescue teams are struggling to reach the disaster zone as the death toll continues to rise.

Foreign nationals from more than 25 countries are among the missing, including nearly 300 Indians and 63 Americans.

The United States has pledged $500,000 in aid as Nepal contemplates the enormous cost of climate change-induced disasters.
