Shooting at Teotihuacan pyramids

Violence has struck one of Mexico's most iconic archaeological sites after a sniper targeted tourists at the Teotihuacan pyramids.

A Canadian woman was fatally wounded, and at least six others, including several Americans, were injured in the broad-daylight attack.

Mexican security forces confirmed the gunman died by suicide at the scene following the shooting spree.

The incident has raised fresh concerns about tourist safety in Mexico as the country prepares to co-host the upcoming World Cup.
