US blockades Iranian ports

The United States military has officially enforced a naval blockade of all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports following the collapse of ceasefire negotiations in Islamabad.

President Donald Trump warned that any Iranian fast-attack vessels attempting to breach the blockade would be immediately eliminated.

The move aims to economically pressure Tehran into accepting peace terms after six weeks of intense conflict that has shuttered the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

International law experts and global allies have expressed concerns over the legality of the blockade and its potential to further disrupt global energy markets.
