Mass arrests at London protest

Mass arrests at London protest

Among those detained was Robert Del Naja, the frontman of the band Massive Attack, who was arrested on suspicion of showing support for a proscribed organization.

The ages of those arrested ranged from 27 to 82, with many being carried away by officers after refusing to leave the sit-down protest.

Organizers stated the demonstration was intended to show that resistance to the ban is 'stronger than ever.' The police presence in central London was significantly increased to manage the hundreds of activists who unfurled banners reading 'I oppose genocide.'
