Danish trains collide head-on

A severe rail disaster occurred early Thursday near Hillerod, Denmark, when two commuter trains traveling in opposite directions collided on the same track.

Emergency services reported that four to five individuals are fighting for their lives, while 13 others sustained minor to moderate injuries.

Images from the scene show the front carriages of both trains severely crumpled in a wooded area.

All passengers have been evacuated, and an investigation into the cause of the collision is currently underway.
