Indigenous Leader Brooklyn Rivera Dies

Brooklyn Rivera, a highly respected Indigenous leader from Nicaragua, has passed away after nearly three years of detention.

Rivera dedicated his life to advocating for the rights of his community and was imprisoned by the government in September 2023.
