Russia's Staggering War Losses
The head of GCHQ, Anne Keast-Butler, has disclosed that nearly 500,000 Russian soldiers have been killed or wounded since the invasion of Ukraine began four years ago.
Speaking at Bletchley Park, she warned that Russia is relentlessly targeting the UK's critical infrastructure and democratic institutions through hybrid warfare.
This figure represents the highest official estimate of Russian military casualties provided by a Western government to date.
Keast-Butler emphasized that the threat of this daily hostile activity escalating into a wider conflict remains exceptionally high, requiring increased vigilance from Western allies.
