Blue Origin New Glenn launch failure
While the vertical landing of the first-stage booster on a droneship was a technical milestone, the second-stage failure has raised questions about the rocket's reliability.
This was the third launch of the heavy-lift New Glenn system, which is intended to support NASA's future lunar missions.
The failure could lead to delays in Blue Origin's commercial launch schedule and its partnership with the Trump administration's moon program.
The company is currently investigating the cause of the orbital insertion error.
