Matthew Stafford signs Rams extension

Reigning NFL MVP Matthew Stafford has agreed to a one-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Rams that will keep him with the team through 2027.

The deal is reportedly worth up to $60 million with incentives.

The extension solidifies Stafford's position as the team's starter despite the recent first-round draft selection of rookie quarterback Ty Simpson.

Stafford is entering his 18th NFL season following a dominant 2025 campaign.
