Russia launches deadly Ukraine attack
The barrage, which hit Kyiv, Odesa, and other major hubs, forced thousands of residents to seek shelter underground for several hours.
Ukrainian officials stated that a shortage of air defense interceptors left many areas exposed to the strikes.
The Russian Defense Ministry claimed the operation was a retaliatory strike for recent Ukrainian incursions.
In response, the United Kingdom announced its largest-ever drone aid package for Ukraine, including over 120,000 units.
