Russia-Ukraine Easter ceasefire agreed
The ceasefire is scheduled to run from Friday evening until midnight on Sunday, providing a brief respite for civilians and troops on both sides.
While the Kremlin initially ignored calls for a truce, Putin eventually acquiesced following a successful diplomatic push by Zelenskyy.
Despite the agreement, tensions remain high, with NATO jets recently scrambled to intercept a Russian spy plane over the Baltic Sea.
Both leaders have cautioned that the spring and summer months will continue to bring intense military and diplomatic pressure.
