Aston Villa reach European final

Aston Villa secured a place in their first European final since 1982 with a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at Villa Park.

Captain John McGinn was the hero of the night, netting two goals to overturn a first-leg deficit and seal a 4-1 aggregate win.

Unai Emery's side will now face Bundesliga outfit SC Freiburg in the Europa League final in Istanbul on May 20.

The historic victory was witnessed by Prince William, a lifelong Villa fan, who joined the players in the dressing room for post-match celebrations.
