Israeli Settler Violence Erupts in West Bank

Armed Israeli settlers rampaged through a Palestinian village near Nablus, killing four Palestinians and injuring others, while Israeli forces detained at least 70 Palestinians in a large-scale crackdown.

Far-right ministers called for destruction in Palestinian villages, and a UN rapporteur branded the attacks ‘pogroms’.

Settlers also established a new outpost at the site of the deadly attack, and Israel announced plans to build 763 new housing units in the illegal Eli settlement.

The IDF banned Palestinian workers from Israeli settlements in the West Bank following a string of attacks, further escalating tensions.
