Artemis II enters lunar influence
The crew, consisting of three Americans and one Canadian, is now in a region of space where the moon's gravitational pull is stronger than Earth's.
During their journey, the astronauts have captured stunning high-resolution images of the lunar surface using consumer technology, including the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The mission is set to eclipse the distance record for a crewed spacecraft previously held by the Apollo 13 mission.
Despite minor technical hurdles with the onboard waste management system, the crew remains on schedule for their Monday flyby.
