Jet2 warns of fuel costs

Airline and holiday group Jet2 has warned that passenger numbers for the rest of the year could be impacted by rising fuel costs due to the Iran war.

The company noted that customers are increasingly booking at the last minute as they wait for clarity on travel prices.

Jet2's warning comes as several European budget carriers face a bidding war for limited jet fuel supplies.

Despite the uncertainty, the airline has praised Greek authorities for suspending new border checks that had threatened to cause further travel delays.
