Subnautica 2 early access date

Unknown Worlds has announced that Subnautica 2 will launch in early access on May 14 for PC and Xbox Series X|S. The highly anticipated sequel will feature both single-player and four-player co-op modes, set on a brand-new alien planet.

Developers have explicitly stated that no generative AI was used in the game's development, addressing a growing concern in the gaming community.

The announcement has already caused other indie titles to shift their release dates to avoid competing with the blockbuster survival game.
