Storm Dave batters UK with high winds
In the Lake District, a multi-agency operation was launched to save three canoeists after their inflatable vessel capsized on Derwentwater.
Emergency services also warned a group of 20 campers in Wales who were nearly cut off by the tide during the peak of the storm.
While weather warnings have since been lifted, authorities are advising the public to remain vigilant as cleanup efforts begin.
The storm's impact was particularly severe in the North East of England and parts of Scotland.
