Van Dijk wins Merseyside derby

In a historic and emotionally charged Merseyside derby, Liverpool emerged victorious thanks to a last-gasp winner from Virgil van Dijk.

Mohamed Salah had given the visitors an early lead before Beto equalized for Everton, setting the stage for a frantic finish in the 10th minute of stoppage time.

The match was the first derby held at Everton's new Hill Dickinson Stadium, which was filled to its 53,000 capacity.
