Rare Blue Micro Moon Arriving

Stargazers across the UK are preparing for a unique lunar double-event as the 'Blue Micro Moon' rises this weekend.

This phenomenon, which occurs only once every few years, will see the moon appear slightly smaller and dimmer than usual due to its position at apogee.

The event also coincides with the Jyeshtha Adhik Purnima, a day of significant religious importance in the Hindu calendar.
