Stretford headteacher killed in crash

The community of Stretford is in mourning following the death of Michael Mullins, the longtime headteacher of Stretford Grammar School.

Mullins, 56, was killed in a collision with a car while cycling in Altrincham on Monday evening.

Police have charged 34-year-old Simon Richardson with murder, manslaughter, and dangerous driving in relation to the incident.

Tributes have poured in for Mullins, who led the school for 17 years and was described as a 'dedicated and inspirational' educator.
