Justin Fairfax Dead in Murder-Suicide

The incident occurred just after midnight on Thursday while the couple's two teenage children were inside the residence.

Fairfax, once a rising star in the Democratic Party, saw his political career derailed by sexual assault allegations in 2019.

Neighbors and friends expressed shock at the tragedy, noting that Fairfax had struggled to find employment or legal clients following the scandal.

A court order had recently required him to move out of the family home by the end of April.
