Trump issues profanity-laden Iran ultimatum

In a series of expletive-filled social media posts on Easter Sunday, President Donald Trump set a Tuesday deadline for Iran to reopen the vital Strait of Hormuz shipping lane.

He explicitly threatened to target Iranian power plants and bridges, a move critics and legal experts warn could constitute a war crime against a civilian population.

The escalation follows the successful extraction of a U.S. F-15E airman who was stranded behind enemy lines for nearly two days.

While the rescue was hailed as a military success, it has emboldened the administration's aggressive posture toward the Iranian regime.
