Iran recloses vital Strait of Hormuz

The fragile stability in the Middle East has been shattered as Tehran reversed its decision to open the Strait of Hormuz, a critical chokepoint for global energy supplies.

This move follows President Donald Trump's assertion that the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports would remain in force until a comprehensive nuclear deal is reached.

The Iranian military has warned that any ship attempting to transit without authorization will be targeted, leading to reports of gunfire and projectiles hitting multiple tankers.

Diplomacy remains stalled as both nations accuse each other of violating the terms of a temporary ceasefire scheduled to expire on April 22.
