Hormuz blockade chokes global trade

U.S. Central Command confirmed that more than a dozen warships are enforcing the blockade, which targets all vessels attempting to enter or exit Iranian coastal areas.

This aggressive military posture follows the collapse of previous diplomatic efforts in Pakistan and aims to force Tehran back to the negotiating table regarding its nuclear program.

Iran’s military leadership has warned that it will retaliate by blocking critical waterways used for one-fifth of the planet's oil and gas exports.

The resulting economic shock is already being felt globally, with manufacturers and airlines facing systemic shortages and soaring operational costs.
