Billionaire Fertitta Buys Caesars

Tilman Fertitta, the billionaire owner of Fertitta Entertainment and the Houston Rockets, has agreed to acquire Caesars Entertainment for $17.6 billion.

The all-cash deal will give Fertitta control over some of the most iconic properties on the Las Vegas Strip, including Caesars Palace and Planet Hollywood.

This acquisition significantly expands his gaming and hospitality empire, which already includes the Golden Nugget casino chain.

Analysts believe the move is a massive bet on the long-term recovery of the Las Vegas tourism and convention market.
