Israeli navy intercepts Gaza flotilla

Israeli forces have intercepted the remaining vessels of the Global Sumud Flotilla, a humanitarian mission attempting to break the naval blockade of the Gaza Strip.

Video footage released by organizers shows activists being bound and forced to kneel on the decks of military ships, drawing sharp condemnation from Greece, Italy, and Canada.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir sparked further outrage by posting a video of himself taunting the detained activists, a move Prime Minister Netanyahu described as inconsistent with Israeli values.

At least 87 of the 430 abducted activists have reportedly launched a hunger strike in protest of their detention.
