Meta to Lay Off 10% of Workforce
Mark Zuckerberg's Meta is embarking on another significant round of job cuts as the tech giant continues its 'year of efficiency' into 2026.
The layoffs are expected to hit various departments company-wide, with further reductions planned for the second half of the year.
Despite the staff reductions, Meta's financial filings reveal massive spending on artificial intelligence infrastructure, including billions paid to Broadcom.
The company is also dealing with the fallout from the termination of its Sama contract in Kenya, which resulted in over 1,000 additional job losses.
