Iran seizes ships in Hormuz

Maritime tensions in the Middle East have surged as Iranian forces exert control over the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) captured the MSC Francesca and the Epaminondas, accusing them of operating without authorization and manipulating their tracking systems.

These actions appear to be a direct response to the continued U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports.

The seizures have further disrupted global shipping routes and cast doubt on the viability of renewed peace talks.
