J&J beats Q1 estimates
Johnson & Johnson has exceeded first-quarter earnings expectations and raised its full-year forecast, driven by strong demand for its oncology and autoimmune drugs.
The results come as the company works to offset the loss of patent protection for its blockbuster drug Stelara.
Sales for cancer drug Darzalex and psoriasis treatment Tremfya were particularly strong, helping to push the company's adjusted earnings to $2.70 per share.
J&J also announced a 3.1% increase in its quarterly dividend, reflecting confidence in its long-term growth strategy.
Executives highlighted the company's robust pipeline and strategic focus on innovative medicine as key drivers for the remainder of the year.
