NAACP calls for SEC boycott

NAACP calls for SEC boycott

The NAACP has launched a campaign urging Black student-athletes and fans to boycott public universities in eight Southern states over voting rights concerns.

The civil rights organization argues that redistricting efforts in these states are undercutting minority representation and weakening the Voting Rights Act.

The 'Out of Bounds' campaign targets powerhouse athletic programs in states including Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.

If successful, the boycott could significantly deplete rosters for top-tier football and basketball programs across the SEC and ACC.
