Amnesty warns of 'collapsing' global order
Secretary General Agnès Callamard stated that a 'voracious' new world order is being imposed by powerful states that disregard civilian lives in conflicts like those in Gaza, Ukraine, and Iran.
The report highlights a systemic breakdown in multilateral institutions, which it claims are too weak or submissive to stop human rights atrocities.
Amnesty also noted a rise in authoritarianism and the erosion of women's and LGBTQ+ rights globally.
The organization urged a return to the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to prevent further global instability.
