Crossbow Attack at Surrey University

A staff member at the University of Surrey was shot with a crossbow, leading to the arrest of a 21-year-old former student on suspicion of attempted murder.

The victim, a man in his 50s, is in serious condition in hospital.

The incident occurred at Manor Park Student Village in Guildford, prompting a major police presence and a cordon.

Surrey Police have launched an investigation, with the suspect, a Saudi Arabian national, currently in custody.
