Kraken Files for IPO

Co-CEO Arjun Sethi confirmed the filing during the Semafor World Economy summit, marking a major milestone for the digital asset industry.

The IPO plan follows a $200 million strategic investment from Deutsche Börse, which valued Kraken at approximately $13.3 billion.

Despite the positive news, the exchange is currently dealing with a security breach where hackers are demanding a ransom for stolen account information.

Kraken has stated it is working with law enforcement to address the threat while proceeding with its public listing.

The offering is expected to be one of the largest fintech debuts of the year.
