Lawyer John Eastman disbarred

Eastman, a former law school dean, was a key architect of the plan to use fake electors to challenge the certification of the election results.

The court's decision means his name will be stricken from the state roll of attorneys, effectively ending his legal career in California.

He has also been ordered to pay a $5,000 fine to the State Bar.
