The production has faced criticism from child safety advocates and family members, including Jackson's daughter Paris, who has reportedly distanced herself from the project.

Sister Janet Jackson was also allegedly scrubbed from the film after refusing to participate in the production.

Despite the backlash, the film is predicted to be a major box office success when it hits theaters this Friday.
