Ukraine Drone Strikes Russian Satellite Center

Ukrainian drones hit a key satellite communications facility near Moscow, the latest in a series of deep strikes that have disrupted Russia’s oil refining capacity and caused widespread fuel shortages.

Long lines at petrol stations and export bans have failed to stabilise the market, and some pump prices have surged past 100 rubles.

Moscow has been forced to import gasoline, an embarrassing reversal for one of the world’s top energy producers.

The strikes demonstrate Ukraine’s growing ability to project force far beyond the front lines and inflict economic pain on Russia.
