SpaceX Raises $25 Billion in Debut Bond Sale

SpaceX sold $25 billion of investment-grade bonds in a heavily upsized offering, after attracting $89 billion in demand.

The deal allowed the company to refinance expensive debt tied to Elon Musk's acquisition of X. The bond sale was one of the largest in corporate history and underscored investors' strong appetite for exposure to the privately held space company.

The funds will help ease the financial burden from the leveraged buyout of the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
