Romania's government falls

The pro-European Union coalition government of Romanian Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan has collapsed following a decisive 281-4 vote of no confidence.

The motion was carried after Bolojan's former allies, the Social Democrats, joined forces with far-right opposition parties.
