Artemis II crew returns home

NASA's Artemis II crew—Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen—received a hero's welcome in Houston following their record-breaking lunar flyby.

The mission marked the first time humans have traveled to the vicinity of the moon in over 50 years, providing critical data for future deep-space exploration.

During a welcome home event, the astronauts reflected on the awe of seeing Earth from deep space and the technical triumphs of the Orion spacecraft.

The space agency is now shifting focus to Artemis III, which will involve complex docking maneuvers in Earth orbit before a planned moon landing.
