Massive wildfires ravage Georgia and Florida

Massive wildfires ravage Georgia and Florida

A path of destruction is widening across the American South as the Pineland Road Fire and other major blazes continue to burn out of control.

Strong winds and dry vegetation have fueled the fires, forcing thousands of residents to evacuate their neighborhoods.

In Brantley County alone, more than 50 homes have been lost, with another 1,000 structures currently threatened.

Community volunteers have mobilized to provide free meals to evacuees as emergency crews struggle to contain the flames, which have now scorched over 29,000 acres.
