Naveed Akram faces extra charges

Naveed Akram, the primary suspect in the 2025 Bondi Beach mass shooting, has been hit with 19 additional charges related to the deadly attack.

The new counts bring the total number of charges against Akram to 78, including multiple counts of murder and attempted murder.

The shooting, which occurred during a Hanukkah celebration, resulted in 15 fatalities and was widely condemned as a hate-fueled act of antisemitism.

Akram and his father, who is also charged in connection with the massacre, remain in custody as the legal proceedings continue in Sydney.
