Deadly mass shooting in Kyiv

A violent rampage in a residential district of Kyiv has shocked the wartime capital, resulting in six fatalities and at least 14 hospitalizations.

The assailant opened fire on civilians in the street before barricading himself inside a supermarket with hostages.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that the attacker was eliminated by special tactical units after negotiations failed.

The SBU Security Service is currently treating the incident as a terrorist act while investigating potential motives.
