Southport Attack Was Preventable

The official report into the Southport massacre has laid bare a series of systemic failures that allowed a deranged teenager to murder three young girls at a dance class.

Sir Adrian Fulford, the inquiry chairman, stated that Axel Rudakubana's fixation on violence was well-known to his parents and several government bodies as early as 2019.

The findings suggest that a 'merry-go-round of buck-passing' between police, social services, and health providers resulted in missed opportunities to intervene.

Families of the victims are now calling for urgent legislative reform to ensure such a tragedy never recurs.
