Justin Fairfax in Murder-Suicide

Authorities in Annandale, Virginia, have confirmed the deaths of former Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax and his estranged wife, Cerina.

Investigators believe Fairfax shot his wife multiple times before turning the weapon on himself during a domestic dispute.

The couple's teenage children were present in the home at the time, and their 16-year-old son placed the emergency call to 911.

Fairfax's political career had been derailed years earlier by sexual assault allegations, and he was facing a court hearing related to his divorce next week.
